Establishing Urban FORest based solutions In Changing Cities (EUFORICC) project started in September 2019 under the coordination of Carlo Calfapietra (CNR-IRET). The project will focus on Ecosystem Services provided by Urban Forests in a Nature-Based Solutions perspective taking a number of Italian cities as case studies.
Priority will be on environmental, socio-cultural and economic services providing scientific evidence that urban forests can improve quality of life and are an important tool to increase sustainabiity of cities under a climate change scenario. EUFORICC involves besides CNR-IRET, University of Bari, University of Molise, University of Florence, University of Tuscia and University of Roma 3.
